A bit more about me…

Hi there readers,

I’m Ann, aka AnnPan, aka Snow…. the nickname ‘Snow’ has grown on me since starting in crafts so I will use that moniker for this blog… if that suits you. I also answer to the name ‘Mum’, ‘Mummy’,'Love’ and ‘Hoy You!!!”

I live on, what I like to call a mini-holding, in a tiny village near Lanark in Scotland.

J and E on a lovely sunny day.

We moved here from Glasgow so we could live a more sustainable, self-sufficient-ish life… you can find out more about that side of me over in my other blog The Boghead Diaries

We are currently undergoing major upheaval after a naughty builder messed up our house.

I can’t wait to get painting and decorating but until then we live between relatives and friends while we slowly put our home back together.

My Granny showed me how to sew on a button at age 5, I have been knitting since I was 8 or 9, crocheting since I was around 14… I have dabbled in cross-stitch and embroidery, screen printing, dressmaking, upholstery, patchwork and woodwork… with various levels of success and enjoyment.

I set up my Snowdrops and Daisies shop in Etsy in August 2008, and branched out to The Tea Cosy Shop in July 2010. Since then I have been lucky enough to have sold to customers throughout Europe, the USA and Australia.  I know also hold a presence on Dawanda and Folksy

My qualifications include, (amongst other high accolades)

a U in ‘Higher Physics’,

and three quarters of a NC in ‘Radio Production and Sound Engineering’.

In the next year I hope to start a qualification in Horticulture to take my Mini-holding a bit further and to provide myself with a further income.

I have plans to expand my wholesale supply lines as well as increase my online shops.

Through this blog I hope to share some of my favourite sellers, some of my favourite items and share some of my techniques and tips. I hope you enjoy it.

Snow x
